Workshop Facilitator
Ladies Who Launch Toronto
Is shouting Hallelujah! an inappropriate thing to do when you've just been downsized? In this economy
some would say yes, but to Nicole Richards she knew it was just the beginning.
Corporate life was creatively smothering her and she needed to breathe.
She found her oxygen when she attended a Ladies Who Launch Incubator
Intensive in 2006. It was just the beginning of a great journey to finding her
true voice and re-igniting her career passions. The Incubator was just what the
doctor ordered but what happened when the program was over is where the real
magic began.
"Ladies Who Launch has been an amazing support for me. By
attending the follow-up meetings after the Incubator and staying in touch with
the women I met, my focus was no longer on my 70 hour work week in my corporate
job, my focus was on the future expansion of my business and on how I could
help the women that were giving back to me."
For Nicole creativity was her middle name. She began her career in 1996
as a Makeup Artist, working on various music videos and editorial print ads for
a wide variety of clients. Since
then, she built an impressive client roster which includes those in the
fashion, advertising, entertainment, commercial, editorial print and music
industries. Her client list includes Bell Canada, Pfizer, LOreal Canada,
Shoppers Drug Mart, Athletes World, Bank of Montreal and Lou Lou Magazine.
In 2004 she founded www.Page28.com
. An artist representation agency located in the heart of Toronto's fashion
district, Page28 represented some of the industries most creative talent.
Makeup Artists, Hair Stylists, Wardrobe Stylists, Photographers, Manicure and Prop
Stylists were all a part of this strong team.
The agency's talented artists worked with celebrities such as Mariah
Carey, Miss Universe Natalie Glebova, Forrest Whittaker, Cheryl Hickey,
Christine Cushing, Trish Stratus, Natalie Portman, Juliette Lewis, Juliana
Moore, Rachel McAdams and Hayden
Christensen.
In 2006 Nicole made a career change and entered the corporate world of
Estee Lauder as an
Education Executive and recently made the brave move to open a 2000
square foot Education Facility. "As an artist, creativity is the key to living
for me. Now its time to share my business knowledge and creativity with
others."
For those who would like to take on a rewarding career as a Makeup
Artist, Wardrobe Stylist or Hair Stylist, The Page28 Artist Academy will open
in January 2010.
"I'm so excited about the possibilities coming up in the next few
months. I'm starting to live out my dreams and the creative flow all started by
attending the 4 week Incubator Intensive 3 years ago. Ladies Who Launch has
been a key factor in helping me stay focused on my destination. Now as a
Workshop Facilitator for Ladies Who Launch, I'm enjoying the chance to help
other women live out their dreams!"
