About the Incubator Process: The Incubator 4-week intensive consists of 6 to 10 women, a trained facilitator and a series of patented exercises designed to get you moving in the right direction. The process includes homework, exercises and the community needed to make focused progress toward your goals.

Who is it for?

The Incubator is for women who:
-Have an exciting idea they want to launch
-Have an existing business who want to grow
-Have a book or creative project they want to develop
-Are freelancers and consultants looking to monetize their services, refine offerings and making valuable connections.

This is also a great place for women who are at a crossroads in their career and want to make a significant change, but need help clarifying a new direction. When the Incubator Intensive ends, many women opt to join our on-going STRATA program which provides educational and skill-building workshops, PR leads, local and national promotional opportunities, preferred vendor relationships/discounts and local message boards that connect products and service people with those who can use them.

Cost $35 per/month with an Incubator Intensive or Fresh Entrepreneur Program and $39 per/month without.

Our events are designed to get your focus and your energy pointed in a clear direction, and make the process of launching a business, project or new life direction as easy, productive and enjoyable as possible. Our community is not about the hard sale and this is not a place for business card pushers. Our events are educational, purposeful and focused on fostering genuine connections. The LWL Incubator led by Jan McCarthy has truly been the best thing I have done for myself and my business.  Aside from meeting the most amazing, talented, inspiring women, I now have a new found direction and action plan for business. When I first came to LWL it was 2 months from the date the incubator started and I just had an idea to launch a jean brand, but had no idea where to start. My friend suggested that I take a seminar on fashion and sent me the link to the Ladies Who Launch website.  Friends are great.  They are always willing to lend a hand and I really needed one.  
It was at a time in my life when I was facing divorce, possibly no spousal support and the imminent sale of our home of 10 years.  I was a stay at home mom and needed to go back through my skills and find what I could do to make a living.  I was scattered and overwhelmed.
I had already started restyling images for friends and their friends for very little and found it to incorporate all my skills as a clothing and costume designer along with my degree in psychology.  What I didn't know how to do was focus, sell myself with confidence and find outside resources to help me along.
The Incubator class caught my eye and I knew it was for me.  Jan had us working each time we met...we had to bring back our homework.  It was not easy work, but very constructive, thought provoking homework to focus us on our dreams.  Yes, limitless dreams.  
There was always a positive, safe and trusting environment, which was guided skillfully by Jan. She was warm, inviting and always reminding us there was no wrong all was right.  She cultivated and nurtured a group bond for us to lend emotional and resource support and we all felt that she was definitely one of us.
I can honestly say that I am grateful to have taken the class and moved closer to realizing my dream and most importantly moving forward in life.  I feel more confident that I am heading in the right direction for me and I would not hesitate to ask for help from my group.  They are all lovely, spiritual and generous women.

I have been a LWL member in Los Angeles for about 2 years.  I originally incubated in the fall of 2007 and it was incredible.  I had no idea what to expect and after 4 weeks I catapulted my ideas into tangibles, had the support of 8 amazing women, and made a few lifelong friends.  It's like going to camp for adults--you bond and it's the most inspiring experience both professionally and personally.  I re-incubated a year later, in the winter of 2008, and once again had an incredible experience, got to be part of other women's dreams, and had so much forward movement (my favorite incubator phrase) on my own path.
