With all this buzz going around about crowdfunding, we're ready to get down to the nuts and bolts and see what this is all about and how it can help our businesses. Jed Cohen, Co-Founder of RocketHub, will be spearheading this meeting and reviewing the following:
- What is crowdfunding?
- Why is crowdfunding emerging now?
- How do entrepreneurs crowdfund their endeavors?
- Who is finding success with this model?
- What are the strategies, tips, and tricks for increasing the probability of funding your next project?
- What impact will the JOBS Act have on crowdfunding?
Jed was born in one of the few geographical areas shaped like a piece of clothing, Michigan, but moved to NYC at the age of 12 to pursue his career as an actor. Jed made his feature film debut as Rod McCallister in Home Alone, and his Broadway debut as Dickon in the Tony Award-winning musical The Secret Garden. Jed is a graduate of Harvard University, where he earned his degree in Astronomy & Astrophysics, and now lives in NYC with his wife Kate and their little dog Sophie.
