Stepping Into New Grounds to Grow Your Business

How do you go from a Salon Owner to launching your own product line and having a TV show?  Well, come learn from Gayle, Owner of the Gatsby Salon!

Gayle Giacomo grew up in Edison, New Jersey.  After graduating from beauty school in 1976 she began her styling training under Daniel Gianfrancesco, and eventually went on to work at Daniel’s first salon Coiffures by Dan in Bound Brook, NJ.  Wanting to develop her skills on all levels of hair design, Gayle explored both cutting and coloring, becoming a master stylist.  Her expert training and passion allowed her to win the Clairol Award in 1992.   Always interested in acquiring more knowledge within the beauty realm, Gayle received private training in 1993 to receive her aesthetics license.

In 1977 Gayle moved with Daniel as he opened Gatsby Salon in Green Brook, NJ.  She and Daniel married in 1985 and, after Daniel’s passing in 1998, Gayle became sole owner of the salon.  While Gayle keeps the Gatsby Salon team focused on maintaining the values established by Daniel, her individual sense of style and creative viewpoints brings a fresh perspective and vision to Gatsby Salon.  Gayle has transformed Gatsby Salon into a modern salon, aptly naming it a “unique beauty boutique.”

Gayle currently resides in Bridgewater, New Jersey and is sole owner of Gatsby Salon.  She runs the day-to-day business with daughter Christy and is also a hair designer within the salon.  Gayle currently stars in the Style Network’s hit reality show Jerseylicious.
