As the co-president and co- licensee of Ladies Who Launch New York City and New Jersey, Karla Lightfoot has worked with hundreds of women to explore, clarify and achieve their entrepreneurial and personal dreams. Her past professional background includes working in executive management, sales, and marketing at companies such as Bloomingdale's, Starbucks Coffee Company, and Tribune Interactive. She co-authored the best-selling cult classic, The BAP Handbook: The Official Guide to the Black American Princess (Random House) and founded compassion couture, a t-shirt company that aimed to inspire the world through the power of its positive messages. Karla has been featured on Good Morning America, Fox News (in the top 5 markets), NPR, The New York Times, Newsweek, the London Evening Standard and more. She is a graduate of Wellesley College and The Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
