I am an author, speaker, business therapist and practicing attorney with a passion for working with women entrepreneurs. But Im not your typical business lawyer or coach. Known for telling it like it is, I like to keep it real with new business owners while sharing practical wisdom and refreshing insight on legal and business issues related to starting, running and growing small businesses. Whether you are thinking about starting a business or have already stepped into the exciting world of entrepreneurship, I bring my nineteen years of practicing law and baptism by fire entrepreneurship experience to teach, humor, and challenge you, but most importantly to help you be a better business owner.

As I met more and more women with a passion to own a business, I started to notice a common theme. Fear of failure. Fear of Change. Fear of the Unknown. And guess what? I could relate. I spent 16 years in law firms and corporate America, toiling away and climbing the proverbial corporate ladder, and being handsomely paid for my work. But, I was miserable! I didnt fit into the traditional corporate attorney mold.

I was like the proverbial square peg in a round hole. Yet, I was torn between continuing to earn a solid six figure income plus annual bonuses and nice corporate perks OR launching out on my own. After all, who would be CRAZY enough to leave a good corporate job for entrepreneurship? Umwellactually, me! Despite my fear, I finally decided to launch my own solo law practice, and after 2 years, guess what? I was miserable again! Only this time, I couldnt figure out why. I was making money, I was my own boss, so what was the problem?

Well, after joining Ladies Who Launch and experiencing the "feminine approach" to launching a business, I had an epiphany. OMIGOSH! I had created a business that mirrored everything I hated about corporate America and traditional law firm practice! I was a square peg in my OWN round hole! Talk about a wake-up call!

It took me some time spent in personal reflection, and the help of my awesome, supportive Atlanta Strata membership group, but I finally figured out what my LIFE VISION was, and decided to create a business for myself that utilizes my gifts and talents and fuels my passion. And that, is how my coaching business, Launch Therapy, was born...and then ultimately, my decision to become the Chicago market leader for Ladies Who Launch as soon as I realized I was moving back home to the Chicago area!

I passionately desire to help women achieve their dream of entrepreneurship. I sincerely believe that there is an inner-entrepreneur in all women, and that given the right support, we can successfully pursue our passion AND make money doing it. My sole purpose is to show you how, and how to do it in a way that allows you to be free of traditional expectations, molds and pre-conceived notions about how you have to run your business.
