Nutrition Training & Background
I received my nutrition training from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories including Ayurveda, Macrobiotics, Raw Foods, Atkins, the Zone Diet and more. I also studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods to help others get out of their own way in achieving their health and wellness goals.
Through my practice, I help clients create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits their unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals. I also holds seminars on a range of health topics including controlling cravings for sweets, how to eat for energy, women’s health and weight loss.
I turned to health coaching after many years in the corporate world. With 13+ years experience in marketing and brand development, the years of stress and poor eating habits began taking its toll. I can relate to the many corporate professionals trying to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle while maintaining an active and successful career. By working with my own health coach and personal trainer, I made simple changes that transformed my health and outlook on life.
Before Health Coaching, I spent several years working in the skin care and nutritional supplement industries. I developed several pre- and post workout supplement products and skin enhancing supplements. I also developed and managed several skin care and hair care brands focusing around skin and hair issues including anti-aging, acne, body, and hair volume and repair. After many years in the personal care industry, I learned that every individual has unique skin, hair and body needs.
I spent years working with men and women to achieve their skin care goals. At the time, my focus was on topical solutions. As I dove into an individual's specific concerns, I began to question the effect food has on the skin. Today, in addition to weight loss and stress management, I places an emphasis on skin and diet in my practice. Just as there is no one-size-fits-all diet, there is no single solution for your skin needs.
Additional Education
Prior to the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, I received my Masters of Business Administration from the Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management in Malibu, California and my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
