What?? Seriously??
Allie being Allie, she thought about this when her hormones took over in her early teens. Could this be true? Is sex just for men and women are to lie there and just take it for the sake of having children? Is romance really a shame? Do you really have to settle? She struggled with her emotions and no one around her appeared to have any straight forward positive answers.
When she hit her late teens, Allie said "screw it" and set off to find out what this thing called sex is all about and why was it looked down upon. Like most first timers, peeling wallpaper was more exciting than sex. But Allie knew there had to be more to this than just "this".
Shifting through her past relationships, Allie also knew that there had to be more to a relationship than just making due. Each relationship she had through her teens to her first marriage and then to her second marriage was marred with "making the best of whoever showed up."
These two situations sent Allie off on her never-ending adventure of finding out about sex, relationships and romance.
