As a lifelong adventurer, I am above all curious. I probe; I investigate; I question. These qualities give me that precious ability to embrace another person’s vision so that I am able to create on their behalf.
As a college sociologist, I learned early to question and discover how people are culturally, sociologically, and individually primed to view the world. After graduation, my interests in society spurred a move abroad. I lived on two continents (Prague, Czech Republic, and Hunan, China), while learning the fundamentals of design, perspective, and composition through photography.
Back in the US, I received diplomas at New York University in both Graphic Design Technologies and Strategic Marketing Management. I worked in both in-house corporate communications and Museum Merchandising, before striking out on my own.
As a design director, I continue to leverage my passion in the service of brands. I’m the co-founder of New York City’s inaugural Creative Collective, and a member of both Webgrrls International and Ladies Who Launch. In my various roles as a strategist, marketer, project manager, graphic designer, and curator of extraordinary teams, I’ve consistently created engaging visuals for clients, and imbued them with meaning.
I firmly believe that collaboration IS creation. Whether working with an established brand or a Fortune 500 company, great design requires a spirit that is open to the world. I anticipate always channeling this spirit, so that our work remains fresh, original, and keenly strategic.
