In early 2011, I realized I needed a change. Dissatisfaction with the corporate treadmill and bureaucracy got me thinking. Was it possible to indulge your interests and passions, become the CEO of yourself and create the life you want? I would soon see, as with eight weeks’ notice I leapt into my Six Months Off to do just that. Part of my journey involved spraying sweaty shoes at a local spinning studio for $15 an hour simply because it made me happy. But the majority was spent discovering that when you open yourself up to anything, anything is possible.

Almost a year later, I’m a coach and strategist who focuses on execution. My client work has included projects for Devi Kroell, Maletzky Media, RentalEngine.com, Sugarfly Marketing, Travelzoo and Wanderfly. Additionally, as the General Manager, NYC at Ladies Who Launch, I provide guidance to women-owned businesses through weekly workshops and private coaching. Regardless of what I’m focusing on, I wake up every morning excited for the work the day brings. I’m living the life I want and loving it.

Without going too far into the past, experience is the key to success. I’ve held various roles at internet media company Travelzoo Inc. (NASDAQ: TZOO), including Country Manager, Canada and General Manager, Travelzoo Network. I’ve also worked in agency and client-side public relations at Ruder Finn and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, respectively.
