Hi, I’m Karen Brown, a Southern girl turned New Yorker who loves dreaming up the details to create a good party. (Doesn’t everyone love a good party?) Tell me your vision, and I’ll make it a reality. I will take care of even the tiniest elements, so you can enjoy your event as much as your guests. Whether I’m planning a once-in-a-lifetime wedding, a birthday bash or a corporate holiday soiree, I feel honored to craft a gathering that is as unique as the people it’s for.
My passion for creating a memorable event makes me jump out of bed every morning! Blessed with a creative spirit and having received formal training as an interior designer, I have an eye for style and a thoughtful awareness for the finishing touches. I have years of professional experience in collaborating directly with diverse clients and vendors to achieve great results. Business-savvy while possessing good social graces, I am adept at negotiating contracts for the best price and can keep an event on track and on budget like nobody’s business. I am the calm in the eye of a storm, and I maintain a positive attitude throughout the entire process. I will always have your best interests at heart.
Helping to improve the quality of life for people everywhere is one of the many things that gets me going. When you hire Karen Brown New York, you will be participating in “An Event that Gives Back”: 5 percent of the planning fee for your event will go to a charity of your choice. Karen Brown New York is also dedicated to providing planning services to a maximum of two non-profit organizations per year at no cost.
When I’m not planning an event, you can find me biking around NYC with my beau, taking a yoga class with a girlfriend or organizing a dinner party with friends. More recently, you might catch me spending countless hours “pinning” wedding and event inspiration ideas on Pinterest, my latest obsession.
