What a great idea! How did this come about?

So glad you asked. The need to build a place where women can feel safe to be them selves, earn income and get valued for their contributions with other like minded business women all while calling the shots and being in charge of their busy schedule came to me after my last corporate job came to an abrupt 'halt' which would end my 14 years working as an underdog in the corporate abyss.

I knew there had to be a better way to work, especially trying to raise a family. The stress was affecting my health and my family. I was so tired of being in a position in where I couldn't really do what I truly desired to do and feel comfortable being myself while doing it! I wasted too much energy navigating corporate agendas and office politics while trying to keep my head above water. I was aching to be creative in my work, enjoyed for my contributions and given clearance for my (what I thought) great ideas without stepping on the toes of upper (or middle - yawn) management. Why work so hard for someone else's bottom line? What about my bottom line?! My set salary with benefits was incredibly unsatisfactory for the amount of work I was out-putting (especially 'make-work' 'strategic' projects which sometimes ended up in the corporate pooper). No more being an office drone... it was time to set sail and do something for myself for once and for all! It was my turn to call the shots, be my own boss and do what I love (while making money of course) :)!

So...in a Hollywood kind of 'AHA' moment, I came to realize that I had a deep desire to help women reach their true potential, to finally earn what they're worth, and do what they love!

and so I created Hubster'!
