Thank for this article! I stumbled across this the other day and it hit me like a ton of bricks! I am at a cross roads with my business and struggling with what direction to take. I have been listening to the negative and believing many lies about myself and my capabilities. We are all agents and can choose to live in negativity or be positivity. Thank you for this reminder and helping me feel more hope!

In response to Miche, I just wanted to add my two cents worth. While my sisters and I have launched our own website, we have had a great deal of support from family and friends (we are truly blessed). But everyone once in a while someone would point out something that could have been taken negatively. Fortunatley, we have those on board who are really great at find the positive in most things, so what we could have passed off and ignored as negatives, turned out in fact to be jems! Just very well hidden.

This is great advice! I find I am much happier & pleasant when I smile & let that garbage roll off my back. There are always going to be people carrying loads of garbage and dream stealers too…it’s up to us to choose how we face them. Thanks for posting this positive message!

As entrepreneurs we often get ‘dumped’ on by well-meaning ‘garbage trucks’ (i.e. family and friends who share their negative thoughts and insights on the hazards/difficulties of running a business).We can certainly extend this great advice to how we respond to them as well. Keep up the positive thinking!
