“Mix and match” works fantastically when styling your home and getting dressed but not when it comes to getting organized.
Mix a vintage pillow with a mid-century couch and you’re set. Match a pair of jeans with a fancy shirt and you’re good to go. But toss together CDs, newspaper clippings, photos from 2 years ago and yesterday’s mail… yikes!
When it comes to getting organized think “like with like”. This means store the kids’ Halloween costumes separately from their Fall wardrobe. Keep this Summer’s collection of BBQ sauces on a separate shelf from the salad dressings. Tuck long sleeve t-shirts and short sleeve t-shirts into separate drawers. Gather up all your product user manuals into one file.
Unify items in your life by category and you’ll have easier access to the things you really love and efficient use of the things you need.
Have a Space-tacular weekend,
Erica
Organizationally yours,
