My business is … Uptown Liz, which was founded in memory of my 28-year-old sister who died of breast cancer. We promote products from companies whose proceeds go directly to charitable organizations all over the world.

My dream is … to improve the world around us by donating over $1 billion to charities.

I launched because … I wanted to have the freedom and control to implement the ideas that I think will make a difference.

One day you’ll see me … qualifying for the Boston Marathon, recognized as someone who made a huge difference in the fight against cancer and, of course, on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

Ladies Who Launch helped me … get my creative juices flowing and helped me come up with a mission statement and a name for my company. I did the Incubator Intensive twice because the support was so invaluable.
