You are a great inspiration! I have enjoyed your food actually for about 6 years now when I went to my first tastefully simple party. In fact, I have even hosted one! One year that is what everyone I knew got for Christmas gifts. You have a great thing going for the busy women who still wants great tasting food.

Dear Jill,

I thought you had so many inspiring (and honest) things to say about your life and business. I’m sorry to see that you have also lost a sibling. I created Uptown Liz – a company that promotes products whose proceeds go to charity – in memory of my 28 year old sister, Liz, who died from breast cancer. It is my way of creating a legacy for her and helping others at the same time.

Great, inspiring story and appropriate for something I’m trying to launch. I’m leaving one part of my professional career behind to start a new venture and am very excited about it. One thing I’d like to do is create dry/wet mixes of Caribbean food products I grew up with. I just don’t know where to begin the exploration process. Can anyone offer a suggestion?
