More and more, green is the new … everything. It isn’t enough just to recycle or turn out the lights unless you’re also countering your carbon footprint through planting trees! Businesses, especially smaller, more nimble ones, are getting incredibly savvy about using packaging that is earth-friendly or from recycled goods, finding soy-based ink printers, using factories that embrace green practices, and so forth. Women, in particular, have led this charge, and in big and small ways are letting the world know that conscientious practices can also mean big profits.

April is dedicated to launching with a conscience: From the environment to social causes, this issue of the magazine illuminates the many ways we can all be more awake in our day-to-day operations.
