“Sometimes during our launching evolution, it is necessary to shift focus, change our perspective or uncover a new way of looking at things. Whenever I feel chaotic, confused or am searching for a solution to a business problem, I immediately incorporate a headstand into my yoga practice and invariably this simple yet challenging posture helps me approach a problem from a new perspective. The truth is, we can achieve anything we want in life, which means we can solve any problem and create any outcome we desire as long as we are open to changing our perspective and doing things differently than we might be accustomed to. In yoga, a headstand is one of the poses that is considered an inversion, which physically creates a different viewpoint, that of being upside down. As with all yoga poses, there is a theoretical concept as well: By increasing our ability to adapt to change instead of being stuck in old habits, we increase our capacity for growth and evolution. This affects all areas of our lives, including our businesses. So if you are looking for creative solutions or new answers to existing questions, turn yourself upside down and see what happens! Not ready for a headstand? Try any of these tactics for a similar result: Take a different route to work, school or the grocery store; switch seats at the dinner table; sleep on the other side of the bed; face your desk in a new direction.”
