I, like you, hate to hear “no.” But founding and successfully building Ladies Who Launch has taught me that if your fear of hearing “no” is preventing you from ever asking the question, you’re cutting yourself off from what could likely have been “yes.” Over and over I have reached for what I thought was impossible only to receive a resounding “yes” to my request, or an even better alternative that would never have occur to me. Recently the bills from one of our service providers became too high. Before switching though, I presented our situation to them and was surprised when they offered to cut our costs by more than half for a period of time. Always keep communication lines open. Solicit the brainpower of others and a solution, maybe an even better one than you thought, will materialize.
