Yesterday the stick, in all its gnarly glory, joined other timeless toys such as kites, crayons and marbles in the National Toy Hall of Fame. As an entrepreneur I was thrilled to see something so conducive to creativity take its rightful place on a pedestal. It just goes to show that if you have an idea, the possibilities for where you can take it are endless. But remember, if you want to turn that idea into a business, you’ve got to think outside the box in the same way that a child would pick up a stick and see a horse. Tap into your problem solving skills. Be adaptable, alert, persistent and creative. I urge you to believe in your business idea and run with it. Take it from me, Ladies Who Launch is really just a stick. But I saw a magic wand.
