LaunchTip: I wouldn’t call myself  “New Agey” or overly obsessed with crystals and stones; however, I do think there is some merit to the theory that different crystals absorb different aspects of the earth’s energy that in turn may result in healing and spiritual properties. I’m not sure about you, but I’ve been feeling a little stressed with the holidays fast approaching and all the juggling required between business and life. That’s when I rediscovered my Amethyst. Whether I am wearing it or staring at it on my desk, I have been drawn to the Amethyst ring I purchased at a thrift store some time ago, and have felt a positive energy shift of late. After researching the healing properties of Amethysts, here’s what I found the seemed to explain and validate my recent obsession; so why not blame the stone?

Amethyst stones contain calming qualities associated with peace. They are known to relax both the mind and the nerves, reducing negativity and anxiety.

Amethysts are known to heighten awareness and align the Chakras, providing a heightened perspective and strong introspection. Alternatively stated, the stone is said to aid the Third Eye (deeper awareness and higher levels of consciousness).

On a physical level, Amethyst elixirs are known to treat bone and joint-related illnesses, digestion, some types of blood disease, heart ailments and blood sugar swings.

Lesson learned. Feeling stressed? Don an Amethyst. Anything that brings me closer to enlightenment and body healthfulness is worth paying attention to, at least to some degree. Check out the snapshot of my antique ring in the image accompanying this.
