Daily LaunchTip, November 18, 2008

November 18th, 2008 · 5 Comments

From Lisa Laverty, Owner/Designer, Elemental Memories

Things like training pants and starter homes exist for a reason – so we can make mistakes. Businesses serve the same purpose. When I launched my first business, a digital collage service, I immersed myself in web design, online and print marketing, search engine optimization, pricing and every other business principal I could think of. Despite all my hard work, that business didn’t make it. But my next venture? Thanks to my “starter” business, I recognized an opportunity and had my new company up, running and even thriving in short order. I could never have done that if I hadn’t learned so much the first time around. Don’t be upset if your first business fails. It might just be what your next idea needs!
