From Victoria Colligan, Founder, Ladies Who Launch
Being a bit of a chocoholic has served me well, I’ll admit, but for reasons that may seem farfetched. As far as chocolate pleasures go, I’ve tried everything from extreme dark to milk, high-end truffles to savory nut combinations, honeycomb to sea salt, exotic flavors to plain old Hershey’s kisses. It seems that lately I keep coming back to Kit Kats. Why? They are simple, crunchy but not nutty, proportionately perfect between chocolate and wafer and they taste really good cold, just out of the fridge. I finally decided to stop torturing myself for liking this guilty pleasure (and by the way, I love Keebler’s Fudge Stripes and Malomars too)! Being a health conscious raw foodie and vegetable devout the majority of the time, once in a while it’s okay to indulge in something that does nothing else for you but cure a craving. So go ahead and read that People magazine, respond to the guy from your 20 year past on Facebook, have that glass of wine, engage in harmless gossip; if you feel good, your business will thrive and so will your life!

I’ve been known to partake on a Snicker bar now and then. The best part is, I never feel guilty.

As an Independent Chocolatier, I have chocolate everyday. There are so many health benefits, including mental health, that it simply makes sense to indulge in moderation daily!
I am also a HUGE kit kat fan. I must ask two questions: How do you eat your kit kat? Do you remember a LONG time ago, when kit kats were wrapped in the foil packaging with the paper wrapper instead of plastic. I am convinced they tasted BETTER in the foil!
I’m a huge KitKat fan too, but fell in love with the KitKat Chunk while in Wales this past fall. Its ONE big KitKat stick. YUM!!! I got a bunch to bring back and hoarded them like they were the last candybars on earth. Luckily, last weekend I found them at my local Cost Plus store, I’m thrilled to say the least!
I agree with your post, it’s GOOD to just indulge and enjoy yourself every now and again. It’s in the moment of enjoyment that you FEEL rich and that energy brings more of the same into your life. It’s a mini relaxation that too many of us don’t do and we all need. Sometimes my indulgences are setting aside the evening to read magazines and nosh on organic strawberries, other times it’s homemade Welshcakes and butter.

I recently discovered guilt-free chocolate with weight loss herbs, carb blocker and teeth-friendly Xylitol which also helps for candida.
Every diet I’ve ever been on has been blown with chocolate so when my friend told me he lost 20 pounds in a month I immediately ordered some. Being a chocolate connoisseur who has been to every chocolate shop in Brussels I expected it to taste bad but it was actually delicious.
I’m never going back to processed chocolate products again. There are no cheap fillers like cacao powder, no wax, no sugar; it’s vegan, Kosher, celiac-approved and best of all organic. With over 3000 ORAC points it equals the antioxidants in an average 9 servings of fruits and veggies. YUM!
