From Victoria Colligan, Founder and CEO, Ladies Who Launch
Some of the most successful companies have experienced MAJOR failures before achieving the ultimate breakthrough. And these thriving companies are not just turnarounds, lucky bets, or rare exceptions. Every booming business I have followed has experienced substantial setbacks, sometimes right before making it big. That’s why whenever I feel discouraged on any level, I simply read through our Featured Lady stories to reinvigorate my confidence. The challenges, obstacles and rocky roads these women have overcome are astonishing. I’m always reminded that sometimes success is achieved by living through hard times to tell the tale. Failure forces you to move forward in a different direction and narrows the possible roads to take. If you hang in there long enough, eventually the odds will be in your favor and the path to success will be the one you are standing on.

Love it Victoria. I most admire those people who meet their failures dead on, view them not as a reason to stop trying, but as learning experiences along the way to success.
Thanks for the inspiring tip!

Thank you Victoria. I agree, reading other people’s stories has helped me tremendously. I am thankful to Ladies Who Launch for pumping them out. I am also very thankful to each and every one of the ladies who give us their stories and provide such insightful tips!
I look forward to reading them on a daily basis!
Meeting fear of failure dead on builds strength and recognition. It prepares you for the difficulties we are currently experiencing. While it may be tough, it’s a great time to take a look around…reflect.
These are the days that provide strong emotional growth – the days that help us to recognize how lucky we are and prepare us for the day when we are able to appreciate it.
Thank you Victoria…I needed you today.
Ladies Who Launch is a rare community where women can come to get our minds back in the game when we are in doubt!
Thanks Victoria for persevering!

I wanted to add one more comment. In times of doubt and questioning how on earth I am going to pull it off – I go back and read the positive feedback I’ve received from my readers. It inspires me every time and validates my purpose!
I can see clearly now the rain is gone I can see all the obstacles in my way!!! It’s gonna be a bright bright sun shiney day!!! My organization is finally reaping the rewards and most importantly the women and children that I help. Already in 2009 two national magazines are lined up ready to promote my cause, 5 local newspapers and my local t.v. stations.
Keep the faith and never lose your focus,

Thank you so much for this tip – I need it very much right now! The company I work for got bought in March and we are right now going through some major changes that will directly affect my income for the worse. Not to mention systemic obstacles I’ve been dealing with for some time. I’ve been thinking my time might be done here anyway, so maybe this is the universe’s way of giving me that extra nudge.
I love reading about others who have been wherever I am at this current temporary moment in time and where they are now … it the journey of constant expansion and getting clear on what we want. And we each have our own path that resonates with us. Vive la difference!
