I am often asked if I’ve ever thought about giving up. I always say no. But my reason for staying put in the purse design business, while completely logical, might, in its simplicity, surprise you. No, I’m not ruthless, or super-Type A, or so competitive that throwing in the towel would wither my soul. Rather, the reason I have never, ever considered calling it quits is that I just love what I do. This may sound obvious but then again if every business woman feels this way, why are people so surprised by my answer? I thrill to the touch, construction, shape, color, and size of handbags. Purses are what I live for; there’s not a snafu out there to pull me off course. If you’re passionate enough about your product or service, even the tough times aren’t all bad because you’re working on what you love. Think about it this way, if you can’t put your finger on the last time you had a life-altering, lousy day – you’re on the right track!
