Daily LaunchTip, December 23, 2008

December 23rd, 2008 · 8 Comments

From Charissa Stewart, Founder, Peeky Toes

I have friends who have great ideas they’re afraid to launch. Discouraged by negative news and a bad economy they ask me, “How did you do it?” I tell them I put one pedicured foot in front of the other. I spent four years getting my pedicure socks company off the ground. I had gone through five different mills but finally my product was engineered and knitted properly. I was ready to launch when, BAM- I had major manufacturing problems. I nearly threw in the towel, but something inside me said don’t give up! I decided if I could create just ONE pair of Peeky Toes, even if it cost me my savings, it would be worth it. Just one pair. After all, I wanted to use my own product! And that’s what I did, I started with one pair, I put my best freshly polished foot forward, and I kept on going. If you’re launching something you truly believe in, something you know others will love, be fearless, creative and true to your vision. It’s just a matter of time before customers catch on.
