Daily LaunchTip: Ask yourself: What am I good at? Where do I feel stuck?

LaunchTip:

The dictionary defines “blind spot” as “an area or subject about which one is uninformed, prejudiced, or unappreciative.” Ironically, having an awareness of our blind spots is one of the most important things we can do for our businesses and ourselves. It informs us of where we have gaps and frees up the space to fill them in. Some time ago when Ladies Who Launch went through a strategy recharge, one of our former board members led a team meeting and asked us to prepare for it by identifying our blind spots. When you take the “ego” out of your business and come clean with yourself and your team about core strengths and deficits, the clarity you achieve about how to set priorities going forward is nothing short of miraculous. There’s a lot you can do to start the process of discovering your blind spots.

Ask yourself: What I am good at? Where do I feel stuck? When are the moments when I feel most frustrated? Why? Take one day and focus on how you feel with every encounter and interaction; break the hours and minutes down and notice everything. Pay attention to your energy highs and lows. This alone will facilitate the deeper level of awareness that is required to recognize your blind spots and initiate change.
