If you haven’t seen Jim Carrey’s latest comedy “Yes Man“, it’s definitely worth a rental fee and two hours of your time. Here’s why: Saying “Yes” even when it feels awkward or counterintuitive is often the quickest path to an opportunity that you never dreamed existed. We all can learn a thing or two from Jim Carrey’s character by saying “yes” more often to people, opportunities and offers that come our way. As a society, we are negatively biased. We have programmed ourselves to say “No” a little too quickly, inadvertently filtering out and rejecting the very resources and benefits that would take us where we want to go. Plus, saying “Yes” just feels better and can lead to a domino effect of events, that while seemingly random, may unfold and converge to fulfill on your dreams.
