I just read through the health insurance article and was surprised when reviewing the options presented to my NYC zip code that the lowest rate for self-employed New Yorkers was not included.
I’m sure it’s just an oversight, but given how all of us are watching our costs these days, it would be helpful if the Atlantis HMO was included in the comparison provided to LWL members in New York City.
A typical Atlantis rate for a NYC Sole Proprietor with NO deductible, NO co-insurance, and a $25/40 Office Visit Co-Pay plus generic prescription plan, starts at $307 per month. Moreover, Atlantis has been offering this option to sole proprietors for several years. How do I know this? Because my husband is an Atlantis sales rep. By the way, he just signed up the accountant friend/sole prop. for Atlantis HMO coverage.
Perhaps Health Plan One could clarify why this entrepreneur-friendly option is not included in the information they are providing to Ladies Who Launch.
