Ladies Who Launch has proudly partnered with the leader in e-mail marketing tools for small businesses, Constant Contact, whose CEO, Gail Goodman, was once a Featured Lady! We are impressed with Constant Contact’s easy-to-use e-newsletters and surveys and award-winning customer service. Read about how Constant Contact can help grow your business, then click on the “Step Three” tab to sign up to use its services!

Step One:

What is Constant Contact?

Constant Contact® offers affordable, easy-to-use marketing tools that help small businesses, associations, and nonprofits connect with their customers, clients, and members. Constant Contact’s leading email marketing and online survey tools—supported by expert, free personal coaching and support—make it easy to create professional-looking email communications (like newsletters) and effective online surveys. Today, more than 200,000 customers worldwide trust Constant Contact to help them begin a dialogue, and connect with their audience.

Businesses and organizations that use Constant Contact benefit from high rates of email deliverability, thanks to Constant Contact’s strong partnerships with Internet Service Providers (ISPs), a no-tolerance spam policy, and a leadership role in organizations such as the Email Sender and Provider Coalition (ESPC).

What Is E-mail Marketing?

Imagine your customers or members looking forward to messages from you. Permission-based email marketing does that… and more. It’s one of the most powerful marketing tools available today. It doesn’t cost much. It doesn’t take a lot of time. And it’s effective. Email marketing is the perfect fit for small businesses and organizations. No matter how you define success – repeat business, referrals, higher revenue, or increased membership – you can achieve outstanding results with email marketing.

Why Would I Want to Have E-mail Marketing As Part of My Business?

Email marketing makes it easy for you to stay in touch with, and stay connected with your existing customers or members – instead of passively waiting for them to return to your Web site or storefront. It’s a highly effective way to increase sales, drive site or store traffic, and develop long-term customer loyalty.

For instance, you can send an email newsletter that includes interesting articles, relevant news, case studies, your own commentary on the issues of your industry, useful information about your products or services, or hints and tips. And you can send email promotions with money-saving coupons and discounts, too.

Email marketing can help you:

  • Build relationships with your customers and prospects
  • Position yourself and/or your company as a valuable resource
  • Make sure they always think of you first – not your competition
  • Educate and inform
  • Illustrate the advantages of your offering
  • Widen your audience through word-of-mouth referrals
  • How Does Email Marketing Help Grow a Business?

Email marketing generates an immediate response. The call to action is clear: “Click here to take advantage of this offer,” or “to learn more about this service.” Response to your campaign generally occurs within 48 hours after the email is sent. You can easily segment your lists using a variety of criteria or interest groups, so that your promotions go to the individuals most likely to respond to your offer.

And because it’s so easy for your customers to forward an email newsletter or promotion on to others, email marketing generates valuable referrals – broadening your audience and growing your organization.

    How Can I Use it?

It’s easy to create and send professional-looking email communications. No technical expertise is needed, thanks to Constant Contact’s wide selection of email templates and their step-by-step, point-and-click Email Wizard. Simply choose your template, and insert your content. It’s that easy! You can add your own logo and pictures, change text, color, size, and type. And you can add or remove paragraphs as needed.

How Can I Collect E-mail Addresses?

There are several ways you can collect email addresses. Constant Contact provides a sign-up box that you can put on your website. It’s a great way to build your list of contacts. Your site visitors can sign up for your email list and their addresses are automatically imported into your Constant Contact account. And you can use this tool – even during your free trial.

You can also set up a guest register and have customers provide you with their email addresses that you then import into your Constant Contact account. Trade shows, conferences, point-of-purchases – any time you “touch” your customer, invite them to join your list.

We use Constant Content at http://WWW.citymommy.com
It has been extremely successful! We have a very high open rate! It is a great way to connect directly to our members and share wonderful products.
We send our direct emails out to all our members who have opted for Newsletters and we have had wonderful feedback from our clients on the traffic it brings to their site and products.

I have also been using Constant Contact for several years. Once you are set up and running, it is very easy, very worthwhile, and a great way to connect with your customers. You can divide your customer list into subsets–and thus target particular groups with a particular email offer. It really should no longer surprise me. . .but I keep hearing that my customers “hang on” to the e-newsletter, and refer back to it when needed.

Its like magic–newsletters go out–emails and orders come in! I recommend it highly, and am delighted to see Ladies Who Launch partnering with Constant Contact–kudos to both!

I actually just signed up for Constant Contact yesterday, hours before receiving the “launch tip” regarding CC in my inbox.

I’ve been sending out an e-newsletter with coupons and style updates for 2 1/2 years now using PHPList, a free program, and after having problems with being seen as spam by many of my legitimate addresses I have decided to try out Constant Contact. I’m very excited to get out my next newsletter and see what my open rate is.

    My new website is http://www.Afford-To-Live.com.

It’s a website representing over fifty-five unique and valuable products and services for Life, Family and Home.

I’ve used a reciprocal linking method with my affiliate companies to help launch the website. So far it’s been a great strategy.

I am a virtual assistant and use Constant Contact with 2 of my clients and we love the functionality of the program and the reports to see how many were read, clicked through to their website and the ease of creating seperate lists for different groups. It’s a great marketing tool that every business should invest in!

This discount came at the perfect time!

I had been using Vertical Response but was really unhappy with it. So tried Constant Contact trial version this summer, and sadly it lapsed while was overseas on vacation. It was on my to do list to sign up with them for a paid account today. I find them alot easier/user friendly than Vertical Response, and you can build your own custom templates too using html or xhtml.

Does anyone know if Constant Contact has become MAC friendly? The last time I checked they were not compatible. I would love to use it, and have reviewed it over and over, but cannot find anything about using MAC.

Hi Diane, I wanted to respond to your question about Constant Contact’s Mac “friendliness”. For best results with MAC use FireFox web browser (version 1.5 and above). Unfortunately, the Safari, Internet Explorer 8 and Google Chrome browsers are not supported at this time. Check out FAQs on this topic on our Resource Center: http://ui.constantcontact.com/support/index.jsp?content=options.jsp

I’ve been using Constant Contact for my newsletters. I also link new members from my website directly into Constant Contact so it’s easy to have all new members directly in my contact list. I also use the photos that are available right in CC to add interest to the newsletters. Constant Contact has been very easy to use.
