Margie’s Online Now—And What a Difference It Makes!
Sometimes all it really takes to motivate yourself is to see someone else doing the thing you’ve wanted to do. That’s the idea behind the colorful new “Margie’s Travel Goes Online” comic strip series from Microsoft Office Live Small Business.
The strip follows the adventures of Margie’s Travel, a fictitious small company wrestling with everyday business challenges. For instance, in the first episode, Margie worries about business slowing down and she’s not sure what to do. She knows people are going online to search for travel, but she’s always thought a Web site would be too costly—and too complicated—for a small, local company like hers.
Well, Margie is persuaded otherwise after hearing about a restaurant in her town that’s enjoying great success with the free Web site they got from Office Live Small Business. Before you know it, Margie’s Travel not only has a Web site, but they’re looking into selling her popular travel guides online, running search ads, putting together an e-mail newsletter, and more.
