About The Incubator:
Ideas need support and action in order to grow and thrive. The Incubator was designed to give you and your ideas a perfect growth environment. It's equal parts focus group, resource-sharing space, and supportive community, and then another intangible part that you can't really imagine until you experience it.
The Incubator Intensive Workshop consists of 7 or so other resourceful, inspiring women who each help one another take their projects, businesses, or ideas to a new place. One night a week for four weeks (or mornings, depending on the schedule), under the leadership of a trained Ladies Who Launch facilitator, you will meet with your group, complete homework for yourself and for each other, and find an uncommon bond that exists between women traveling down their own path.
The Incubator is for any woman, with any business or any project. Whether you feel stuck and need to get out of a rut, have hit a plateau in your business, or just want to figure out what's next, the Incubator increases momentum and clarifies your vision.
The Ongoing Incubator gives you daily, weekly, and monthly doses of education, opportunity, and inspiration and so much more. Our monthly member meetings are one of the benefits of becoming an Ongoing Incubator member. See above for monthly meetings happening all over the Bay Area. Each month we feature inspiring and informative guest speakers and/or opportunities to connect and share resources and movement.
First-time guests are welcome to attend a monthly member meeting for free. It's one of the best ways to check out the energy of this vibrant community firsthand and to decide if you're ready to launch with us!
About the Director, MetorWest/Worcester: Lynn Toomey
Lynn spent 15 years in high-tech marketing for several successful start-up companies in Massachusetts before venturing out on her own. Lynn led the marketing efforts for the #1 high technology IPO of 2000, Sonus Networks. In 2004 with several other stints under her belt, she decided to take a severance package and start an arts & craft studio. Her decision was based on the fact that 6 months previous to this, she had given birth to twin girls and also had a 9 year old son. "I just didn't want to travel around the world anymore." It was while running her art studio, that Lynn got the idea for a traveling art studio. In August of last year, Lynn decided to focus full time on what her 5 year old daughter named, Let's Gogh Art, while deciding to sell her studio. With continued growth, Lynn recently launched a worldwide licensing program for Let's Gogh Art...now creative entrepreneurs can run their own Let's Gogh Art business out of their home, on their own terms. Lynn recently began offering her licensees and other small businesses, marketing consulting under the name, Let's Gogh Marketing (www.letsgoghmarketing.com). She has a new e-Book, "Must Have Marketing...A Marketing To-Do List for Every Small Business Owner," available on her Let's Gogh Marketing website.
Enter Ladies Who Launch. While looking for opportunities to network, Lynn happened upon Ladies Who Launch. After attending a June intensive, Lynn decided she wanted to bring Ladies Who Launch to MetroWest and Central Mass. In October 2007, Lynn started the MetroWest/Worcester/West Massachusetts incubator. Lynn is excited to bring a great program to entrepreneurial women in this region. Her goals are to run LWL part time reaching out to like minded women, networking and working together to help them reach their goals, as well as her own. When Lynn manages to find spare time, she spends it with her family. She also enjoys creating original pieces of art, reading, writing, exercising and traveling. Lynn looks forward to chatting with any woman interested in pursuing her dreams and talking about how Ladies Who Launch can contribute to reaching those dreams.
