An Evening on Sales
How many of you cringe at the mere thought of making a sales call or freeze when you get your first customer objection. Well you are not alone. Many of us are not comfortable with selling our product or service. While we might be extremely passionate about what we have to offer, we may not know how to convert our precious offering into a sale or perhaps we just are not comfortable with that part of the process. We may even be guilty of thinking, “If I build it, they will come”. Regardless of how good our product or service is, at some point we need to sell it to someone and not everyone is comfortable with this concept. Given the importance of Sales in launching a business and especially in growing a business, we wanted to highlight Sales at our next STRATA meeting, September 23rd. Our guest speaker, Lisa Hart, Co-Founder of Back 2 Our Roots, a business consulting and training company, will be joining us to speak about the importance of Sales in the overall business process and share with us some tips on how we can be more effective in our sales efforts. Her talk, “The Root of Sales Success”, will cover such items as prospecting and lead generation, overcoming the fear of selling, connecting with your prospects, objection handling and moving your prospect to the close.
