Frances Crespo

Market Director
Ladies Who Launch - Metro DC (DC/MD/VA)

FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS!!!  That is the essence of this enterprising business owner and visionary woman.   Frances is passionate about helping women--especially helping other women achieve their dreams.   She is a woman of a thousand ideas.  Frances has been diagnosed as a professional business junkie by all of those who work closely with her.  She cannot help dream about what is next but she is not only a dreamer, she is a doer.

Frances is determined to realize her dreams and she loves finding a way when there seems to be no way and making the impossible possible.  With a humble beginning as a teenage single mom in Puerto Rico, Frances idea to live her dreams propelled her to work incessantly with a full-time job and two part-time jobs while carrying a full load in college and taking care of her two children.   She believed in following her dreams to finish college, join the Navy and make a difference.  She realized her dreams when she graduated from college and received her commission as an Officer in the United States Naval Reserve.  After working for many years in the defense industry and as a Spanish Instructor/Translator, she decided to venture into the retail world and with the help of her family started a woman's retail salon.  Her concept, the first of its kind in the US, has garnished international attention due to an outstanding and comprehensive business model.

Frances love for dreaming big comes from her father and her perseverance from her mother.  She was taught by her parents to live by what she calls the basic laws of life, and she believes that -- to whom a lot has been given a lot is expected, and she has been given an abundance of blessings, thus her commitment to give back to the community and to share her life experiences to help others achieve their dreams.  Helping others allows her to fulfill her dream of making a difference.

She graduated with a BS in Business Administration from New Hampshire College, an MS in Education from Old Dominion University. She has received numerous awards for her personal and professional work to include: Washington Business Journal Minority Business Leader Award (2007), Toyota and ABC 7 (WJLA-TV) Tribute to Working Women Award (2009) and Washington Business Journal Women Who Mean Business Award (2010) to name a few.

Frances enjoys traveling, reading lots and lots of business books and inspirational stories, eating great food, dessert and of course good coffee to complement.
